Meanwhile in Sweden: Power Big Meet 2013

Whoa, time has gone by so quickly! Now, I've got some new material to show for ya all there! :)
During the last week I was on a combined holiday and work trip with my fella.
We took the ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm on thursday and on friday we spent the whole day in Västerås' Power Big Meet. On my following blog post I'll be showing ya some pics from Stockholm and the ferry rides. :)

The dress I chose to wear to this gloriously carfull event (8000 cars on friday alone!) is PinUp Girl Clothing original: Deadly Dames Malibu Tiki Dress, I got this lovely dress from Pin-Up Garage.
Shoes that I joyfully walked all day long are from Miss L Fire, parasol from Miss Bamboo, hair flowers from  Sophisticated Lady, snood from Olivia Rouge Shop and my bag is vintage.

What, have I eaten my lipstick with that burger?

Gotta correct that right away!

Summer in my mind

Kesä on ollut mielessäin jo jonkin aikaa, varmaan monella muullakin kuin minulla.
Mutta kun ulos ei voi vielä mennä kekkuloimaan biksuissa, niin pistetään pökköä pesään ja pesä tulille. Takan edessä voi sitten haaveilla auringon lämmöstä drinkki kädessä, eikö vain?

Hahaa, kukkia, JÄLLEEN! Mikä yllätys!
No mutta, nämä kaunokaiset olivat välttämätön lisä kokoelmaani, ihanan kesäinen lisä!

Molemmat ovat suosikkiputiikkini Top Vintage:n kokoelmista. Laukku Collectif Clothing ja kengät PinUp Couture. Top Vintagen lähetyksissä on aina pieni lahja, laventelisaippua. :)

I got hese beauties from one of my favourite boutiques, Top Vintage. Bag is made by Collectif Clothing and shoies are by PinUp Couture. Top Vintage allways puts a little gift inside the parcel, lavendel soap. :)

Min Boudoir

Nämä ihanaiset tulivat juuri postilaatikkoon! Uusi ruotsalainen Min Boudoir -lehti. <3
Täytyy myöntää että nyt saa ruosteinen ruotsinkieleni kyytiä, koska tämä lehti on aivan mahtava! Kiitos Micheline Pitt:n, löysin tämän upean lehden! Tämmöisiä kaivataan!
Lehden päätoimittaja on ruotsin Pin-Up kuningatar ja burleskitähti Tifa DeLeone. Hänen kädenjälki näkyy laajasti lehden sivuilla, jutuissa, kuvissa sekä muotikuvien stailauksissa.

Lehti muistuttaa hieman brittiläistä Vintage Life Magazine:a, mutta tässä on hurrrrrjasti paljon enemmän Pin-uppia! Yeah!

Kakkosnumerossa suomalainen burleskikaunotar ja muotibloggaaja, Cherry Dee, Freelancer's Fashionblog
sekä Pinup Girl Clothing:n Micheline Pitt kertovat luottomeikkituotteistaan ja siitä, kuinka he loihtivat itselleen 50 -luvun tyylin.

I stumbled on (thank god I did) this gorgeous new mag Min Boudoir, thanks to Micheline Pitt!

It is swedish Pin-Up / Vintage / Burlesque magazine. And the Editor-in-chief is swedish Pin-Up goddess and burleque dancer Difa DeLeone! Her handprint is shown widely throughout the magazine; she writes, poses and styles most of the photoshoots. 

It reminds a bit like brittish Vintage Life Magazine, but this one is much much more about pin-up, me like! ...Allthough I do need to brush up my swedish now.. :)

On the second issue one can find tips from finnish burlesque beauty and fashionblogger Cherry Dee, Freelancer's Fashionblog and Micheline Pitt from Pinup Girl Clothing, how to create 50's style with their favorite beautyproducts.

Muistoja kesältä

Kesä meni ohi hurrrjan nopeasti ja siitä jäi muistoksi paljon ihania asioita, kuten kuuman päivän vietto uima-altaalla, me like!

Varmon kesäkauppa eli Osakeyhtiö Sekatyöliike Suokuokka Oy löytyi matkan varrelta Pohjois-Karjalan kuppeilta, kannattaa käydä paikan päällä maistelemassa tunnelmaa suoraan 50 -luvulta!

Harley Quinn

Mitä lähempänä tuo juhlan päivä on, sitä enemmän tekee mieleni kokeilla erilaisia maskeja. Mitä kaikkea sitä saisikaan maalattua naamalleni.. ;)

Tässä ensimmäinen kokeilu yhdestä Gothamin tytöistä, Harley Quinnistä.
Meikkaaminen kesti noin parisen tuntia. Pohjavärinä on (kuten La Calavera Catrinassakin) Grimas:n Crème Make-Up Pure 001 sekä puuterina Grimas:n Transparent Powder. Luomivärit ovat Coastal Scents 88 Color Eye Shadow Palette:sta.
Vaikka lopputulos näyttää melko yksiväriseltä, on väreinä käytetty kolmea eri violettia, myös valkoista sekä mustaa korostuksina. Poskien puna on otettu myös samasta paletista. Huulet ovat piirretty Revlonin ColorStay Liplinerilla: Red, sekä ääriviivattu lisäksi Make Up Storen Liplinerilla: Frosted Berry. Hitusen huulikiiltoa a'la Revlon ColorStay.
Päälläni on Pinup Girl Clothingilta hankittu Deadly Damesin Juvenile Delinquent Dress korsetilla höystettynä.

Seuraavaksi olisikin vuorossa Poison Ivy. ;)

This is a first try out of a Harley Quinn, one of the Gotham Girls. This makeup took a couple of hours to do. For the base I used Grimas Crème Make-Up Pure 001 and Grimas Transparent Powder. Both are also used as a base in La Calavera Catrina. Eye shadow colours are from Coastal Scents 88 Color Eye Shadow Palette.

I've used three different tones of purple. Black and white were used for highlighting and contouring eventhough it doesn't show. Lips are drawn with Revlon ColorStay Lipliner: Red and Make Up Store Lipliner: Frosted Berry added with little bit of gloss by Revlon ColorStay. I'm wearing Deadly Dames Juvenile Delinquent Dress from Pinup Girl Clothing .

Next get ready for Poison Ivy!

American Car Show aloittaa kevään. Jos näistä autoista ei saa kesäfiilistä rintaan niin ei sitten.. :D

Animaatioiden ja etenkin perinteisellä tekniikalla tehtyjen animaatioiden innokkaana ihailijana elokuvahyllystämme löytyy ehdottomasti Kuka viritti ansan, Roger Rabbit? Kyseinen elokuva on yksi tekijä tämän harrastukseni ja elämäntyylini alkulähteellä. Jessica innoitti naamiaisasuvalintaani viime Halloweenina. ;)



















Myös tämä tyylikäs elokuva on ohjannut vankasti tyyliäni alkumetreiltä. LA Confidential. Elokuvan Veronica Lake on ollut valintani myös eräissä naamiaisjuhlissa... :D

Ja sitten tuore hankinta, ei tosin klassikkoainesta, mutta pitipä hankkia. :D Bitch Slap. Tämä ostos johtunee varmaan Erin Cummingsin upeasta asusta elokuvassa. Erin on muuten yksi PinUp Girl Clothingin malleista.
